We find a sustainable home for 100% of the recyclable materials we process and are happy to answer any questions you might have about our sustainable process.

Defining what sustainability means for oil reclamation

The Amlon Group is an Environmental Solutions Company providing Sustainable Solutions for petroleum hydrocarbon management through Innovative Recovery Techniques utilizing proven thermal and mechanical processes.

Headquartered in Louisiana with core operations in Baton Rouge, The Amlon Group’s leadership team comprises professionals with decades of experience in the waste, remediation and oil and gas industries.

About The Amlon Group

With increasing landfilling liability and growing federal and state regulations, oil companies today must look for a sustainable alternative to oil reclamation when managing their materials. Add in the desire for sustainable solutions, and the industry is void of options.

Enter The Amlon Group, a sustainable, clean, proven, and accepted process to treat refinery materials.

At The Amlon Group, our innovative reclamation technologies are changing the way oil refineries process materials without onsite disposal or incineration.

We find a sustainable home for 100% of the recyclable materials we process and are happy to answer any questions you might have about our sustainable process.

The most sustainable solution for oil bearing materials

The Amlon Group offers refineries access to the largest thermal desorption and separation plant in the USA. Focused solely on treating refinery materials, our services are designed to help your plant increase its sustainability by diverting your oil bearing materials from landfills to our plant, where they will be treated using our compliant, clean and efficient reclamation processes.

Our Solution

Reclamation Process

Our goal is total transparency from the day your materials arrive at our plant until the moment the material is recycled and shipped for reuse. Once The Amlon Group begins managing the material, it uses dewatering and indirect thermal desorption processes to separate oil bearing material into treated water, clean oil and solids.

The The Amlon Group plant is located on a 28-acre site which includes a 36,000 square ft custom designed material handling building, our liquid, and solids processing units, and finished product storage.

Redefining oil reclamation

The Amlon Group recovers oil and oil bearing materials that were historically disposed of, and turns them into renewable energy and non-hazardous materials. In order to provide the most sustainable and comprehensive treatment of oil bearing materials,

The Amlon Group employs a proprietary approach to treat all areas of your materials:

1- Solids

Our process allows us to recycle reusable solids with zero incineration, leveraging our indirect thermal desorption technology. We also recover metals throughout our process.

2- Water

We safely treat all water utilized or separated in our process.

3- Oils and Catalysts

Our technology separates and dewaters the oil within the materials, allowing us to reclaim oil and catalyst more efficiently and effectively than any other methodology.

Sustainability

Setting a higher standard of sustainability

The Amlon Group is a game changer of innovative sustainability in the oil refining industry.

We’re proud to be fully permitted at all levels to accept recyclable oil bearing materials in a compliant, clean and efficient manner. What The Amlon Group’s facility is capable of is unlike anything else in the region.

Re claiming oil and catalyst more efficiently and effectively than any other methodology, treating solid materials with zero incineration, and recycling these materials in innovative and sustainable ways.

Equipment

Reclamation Process

The Amlon Group uses a wide variety and range of equipment, including indirect Thermal Desorption Units (TDU) and decanter centrifuges to separate oil bearing material into treated water, reclaimable assets and solids (including metals).

Indirect TDU - Solids

3-Phase Centrifuges - Liquids

  • High G Screening System
  • Chemical Enhancing System
  • Boiler System
  • Wastewater Treatment Plant
  • 3000 Barrel Liquid Storage

Safety and compliance

Keeping safety and compliance as the top priority

The Amlon Group’s operations have been audited and inspected. We take pride in a rigorous protocol that is in full compliance with local, state and federal regulatory standards. The Amlon Group has a comprehensive emergency management plan and are  committed to keeping safety as our number one priority.

What sets us apart?

Verified Recyclers Exclusion (VRE)

The Amlon Group is a VRE operating under a Variance from the definition of a solid waste.

  • Streams ship on BOL as product for recycling and recovery.
  • Accepting oil bearing material from Refineries and related industry (no chemical plants).

The VRE includes 4 factors

  1. Hazardous secondary material must provide a useful contribution to the recycling process or to a product or intermediate.
  2. Recycling must produce a valuable product or intermediate.
  3. Hazardous secondary material must be managed as valuable commodities.
  4. The product of recycling must be comparable to a legitimate product or intermediate.
